My Background

I earned my PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from Vanderbilt University in 2025, where I conducted colorectal cancer research in the lab of Bob Coffey. During my PhD, I was awarded an NSF GRFP and two T32 grants to support my research. My work resulted in 13 publications ranging from Science, JCI Insight, Cancer Discovery, and Nature Cell Biology, among others, and presented at regional, national, and international conferences focused on cancer and immunology. I am now a Research Assistant Professor at UPMC’s Hillman Cancer Center.

I specialize in strategic positioning, writing, and developmental editing for both scientific grants and manuscripts. During my PhD, my contributions have led to over $19M in federal and private funding and 15 publications apart from my own, including manuscripts accepted to Nature and Cell. My recent federal expertise has resulted in NCI funding for R35, U54, and P50 applications as well as DoD funding for cancer research. For grants, talks, and manuscripts, I have conceptualized and created figures for both data visualization and conceptual framing. With my expertise, I am well positioned to empower researchers in securing funding and publishing high impact research. Check out the testimonials page to learn more.
